I joined the Board in May 2021 and became presiding member/chair in September 2021.

I am American by birth but have been a New Zealand resident, and now citizen, for nearly 12 years. My partner and I are the primary caregivers for our nieces; Ngarangi who has attended Hukarere for 3.5 years and is a full-time boarder, and Dakoda who has every intention of joining her sister at the College.

Over the past 3.5 years, we have seen the school adapt to meet the many challenges it has faced and develop and grow in its efforts to meet the needs of the girls who attend the school. It is my great pleasure and privilege to represent Hukarere Girls’ College on the board. I endeavour to contribute to the ongoing efforts that the school is making to meet the needs of our current and future wahine, as well as the community Hukarere serves.
