The 2026/2027 Hukarere wharenoho fee has been set by the Te Aute Trust Board at $10,355.00.

Plus a $150.00+GST one-off annual Compulsory Activity Fee payable in Term One.

Fees are charged per term, with a quarterly invoice of $2,588.75.

An initial payment/deposit of $1,500.00 is typically required to secure your kōhine's placement.

Please note kōhine are charged for the full term, regardless of a late start or early withdrawal. We understand that fees can be a significant commitment for whānau. Please contact us early if you would like to discuss a payment plan to help keep fees up to date.

WHARENOHO FEES INFORMATION

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

Whānau are required to give one term’s notice in writing of the withdrawal of their kōhine from the wharenoho. Mid term withdrawals will not be refunded. This provision also applies to kōhine formally excluded from the wharenoho for failure to meet hostel rules and regulations.

TRAVEL TO AND FROM SCHOOL (BOARDERS)

Travel/transportation assistance is provided by the wharenoho only during designated term time exits and returns. This assistance includes drop off/pick-up to Hasting’s bus stop or Napier Airport.

Travel outside of designated term time exits and returns is the responsibility of whānau to organise.
