The Henry & William Williams Memorial Trust Academic Scholarship for Year 9 Students 2020
The scholarships are for Māori secondary school students, who are commencing Year 9 of their education, who demonstrates leadership qualities/potential, a satisfactory educational background, and who will benefit from financial support to access educational pathways. $1000 per scholarship.

A Henry and William Williams Scholarship will enable students with high potential to aspire to excel in all that she does. Hukarere Girls’ College has eight Academic Scholarships available for Year 10 students in 2020.

Te Puāwaitanga Scholarship Scheme 2019
The scholarship will be offered to a young person who demonstrates leadership potential, based on the school’s criteria, which includes:
- Leadership skills and potential
- Academic achievement and potential
- Cultural Strengths
- Sporting skills
- Reports or recommendations from contributing schools

Ministry of Education Boarding Allowance
A boarding allowance can help students living in remote areas or facing other barriers, board away from home and focus on their studies. Parents or caregivers have to apply for this allowance and funding is paid directly to schools.
