Turakina Māori Girls’ College

It is our pleasure to welcome Turakina Māori Girls’ College to Hukarere for a visit this weekend, Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November.  Many activities are planned, Academic Challenge, Cross Country, BBQ and Swim at the Ocean Spa.  Our guests will stay at Hukarere Friday night and on Saturday will engage in a Bake Off with our hostel students and attend Iron Māori before returning to their kura in the afternoon.

We are all looking forward to their visit, the challenges and comradeship between the two schools.

18 October:  Student Rep training.

22 October:  L1 Art Folio due.

23 October:  Labour Weekend travel day for boarders.

27 October:  All boarders return to hostel.

28 October:  School as normal.

L2 Art Folios due.

31 October:  Turakina Exchange.

BOT Meeting.

1 November:  1/4 Iron Maori

6 November:  L3 Art Folios due.

10 November:  NZQA External exams.

22 November:  Prize Giving.

23 November:  BOT Training.

28 November:  Last External exam.

5 December:  Students last day.

9 December:  Teachers last day.
